The FINE (Fintech Investor Network and Ecosystem) project proudly participated in this year’s UNCHAIN Fintech Festival, held on June 19-20 at the Oradea Fortress, Romania. This renowned event, a cornerstone in the financial services calendar for Central and Eastern Europe, attracted over 500 delegates from around the globe.
With representatives from six central banks, over 170 commercial banks and financial institutions, and more than 200 fintech and technology providers, the festival served as the place to be for innovation, collaboration, and industry insights.
One of the standout moments for FINE was hosting the “Cross-border Investments in Fintech” workshop on June 20th at 11:30 am at the Innovation Stage. This 50-minute session featured a dynamic panel discussion with industry experts Florin Visa, Partner at Early Game Ventures, and Stefano Ferace, Analyst at Truffle Capital. The workshop delved into the nuances of fintech investments, offering attendees valuable perspectives on navigating the cross-border investment landscape. Additionally, Benjamin Berényi, CEO of PastPay, presented a compelling fintech prospectus, highlighting the startup’s innovative contributions to the sector.
The UNCHAIN Fintech Festival not only facilitated profound discussions on topics such as payment innovation, AI in finance, and evolving regulations but also celebrated remarkable achievements within the industry. Renowned author Chris Skinner captivated attendees with a keynote and exclusive book signing session, while the signing of an MOU between the Romanian and Polish Fintech Associations marked a significant milestone in regional fintech collaboration. With the successful conclusion of this year’s festival, anticipation is already building for the next edition.
